Tay Ho Tay enters a new growth phase as transport and urban amenities take shape

0 comments Big buildings October 13, 2026

As transport links improve and major commercial facilities move toward opening, Tay Ho Tay is evolving into a more complete urban destination, setting the context for the upcoming launch of The Prime K8CT1 – West Lake edition in Starlake city

Tay Ho Tay is entering a new stage of development as transport infrastructure and urban amenities take shape together. Ring Road 2.5, Vo Chi Cong, Pham Van Dong – Ring Road 3, Tay Thang Long and Metro Line 2 are expected to strengthen connectivity across northwest Hanoi, alongside the expansion of the area’s residential, commercial and office functions

With road improvements progressing and major retail projects targeting openings in 4Q 2026, the period could mark an important transition for the area. For prospective STARLAKE residents, this means an urban environment increasingly defined by the places where they can work, shop and spend their leisure time, as well as by its connections to the rest of Hanoi

Transport infrastructure gradually taking shape

One of the latest changes is the section of Ring Road 2.5 (the extension of Nguyen Van Huyen) running through Tay Ho Tay and connecting Cau Giay – Nguyen Hoang Ton, which is expected to open to traffic for technical operation in October 2026. The entire Ring Road 2.5 is intended to improve connectivity between urban areas and help ease pressure on several existing ring roads.

In addition, Vo Chi Cong remains one of Tay Ho Tay’s main arteries. The 10-lane road connects the West Lake area with Nhat Tan Bridge, opening the way to Noi Bai Airport.

Also, the 10-lane Tay Thang Long boulevard, about 34.17 km long, starting at Vo Chi Cong and connecting to National Highway 32, is expected to be completed in 2027 and will  connectivity between Tay Ho Tay and Bac Tu Liem, Dan Phuong and the western part of the city.

Beyond road transport, Metro Line 2 (Nam Thang Long – Tran Hung Dao) is expected to add a mass public transit option for the area. The line directly connects the urban area with central Hanoi and is about 11.5 km long, with 8 underground stations, 2 elevated stations and a depot at Xuan Dinh. It targets operation in 2029.

Together, the planned metro line, ring roads and radial routes are expected to form a more extensive transport network. As individual projects reach completion, they could broaden people travel options and support the development of employment and service centres around Tay Ho Tay.

Starlake at the heart of the infrastructure network

Located in Tay Ho Tay, Starlake stands to benefit from improvements to the surrounding transport network. The 186.6 ha urban area is invested in and developed by Daewoo E&C. According to the project’s introductory materials, only about 16% of its land area is allocated to housing, with most of the remainder planned for administrative zones, offices, hotels, commercial space, parks, greenery and water surfaces. This allocation places residential development within a broader urban plan and limits the share of land devoted to housing.

Starlake’s commercial and service facilities are also taking shape. The Shilla Monogram Hanoi hotel and IFC Hanoi tower are already in operation, while Thiso Mall – Emart and Westlake Square Hanoi, developed by Takashimaya, are expected to open in Q2 2027. The planned retail additions would bring more shopping, dining and everyday services into the urban area, complementing its existing hotel and office facilities.

For STARLAKE residents, the value of this mix lies in having homes, workplaces and daily services within the same urban area, alongside parks and water features. As more facilities open, Starlake is expected to offer a fuller living environment, with greater scope for work, shopping and leisure close to home

Starlake The Prime K8CT1 – West Lake Edition prepares to launch in Starlake

The Prime K8CT1 is preparing to enter the market as Tay Ho Tay moves toward a more complete urban environment. With a building density of 32%, the project comprises four 23-storey apartment towers with 656 units and two interconnected basement levels. It adjoins Vo Chi Cong and a completed 40 m road whose onward connection to Vo Chi Cong is expected soon, supporting access toward West Lake, Nhat Tan Bridge and Noi Bai Airport

The Prime K8CT1 – The Westlake Edition version name highlights the project’s relationship with West Lake and its position along the Vo Chi Cong corridor. This gives the development a distinct location story within Starlake, linking access to West Lake with the urban area’s expanding commercial and service facilities.

The Prime K8CT1 is planned with an indoor swimming pool, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness area, indoor golf and a children’s play space. These facilities are intended to support residents’ everyday recreation, alongside Starlake’s shared landscape and regulating lake of about 4.5 ha

The growth of offices, commercial facilities and administrative zones may also strengthen demand for homes close to work. As Tay Ho Tay develops its role as an employment centre, experts, managers and other professionals working in the area could contribute to both owner-occupier and rental demand, depending on the pace of business activity and facility openings

For prospective buyers, the upcoming launch brings together two considerations: a new residential offering within Starlake’s planned housing allocation and an urban setting whose transport links and daily amenities are becoming more established. The Prime K8CT1 – Westlake Edition arrives at this transition, giving buyers an opportunity to assess the project’s location, planned facilities and construction progress alongside the wider development of Tay Ho Tay
