During his state visit to South Korea, General Secretary To Lam held a significant meeting with the leaders of 17 top South Korean economic corporations. At this special event, Mr. Jung Won Joo, Chairman of Daewoo E&C, delivered a key speech highlighting the corporation’s long-standing history and strong commitment to Vietnam’s development.

Speaking before the General Secretary, Chairman Jung Won Joo expressed his honor and emphasized that Daewoo E&C considers Vietnam its second home, with a presence dating back to even before the two countries officially established diplomatic relations. Starting with the iconic Daewoo Hanoi Hotel project, Daewoo E&C has now become the master developer of the “Starlake New Urban Area,” a model project that serves as a pioneering platform to attract major Korean corporations to invest.

Not limited to major cities, Daewoo E&C is continuing to expand its investments into areas with high growth potential, such as the “Kien Giang New Urban Area” project (also known as FO;RES Starlake) in Hung Yen. The corporation is also nurturing plans to develop new-generation urban areas by applying advanced Korean smart technology, creating green spaces, and energy-efficient buildings. One of the unique highlights of its future vision is the plan to develop K-Towns – cultural complexes with a distinct Korean character, which promise to attract foreign investment and create numerous high-quality job opportunities.

Furthermore, Chairman Jung Won Joo also expressed Daewoo E&C’s desire, as a member of “Team Korea,” to contribute its capabilities and infrastructure strengths to key national projects such as the “North-South High-Speed Railway” and the “Nuclear Power Plant in Khanh Hoa Province”.
