On 25th November, 2024, Daewoo E&C held a groundbreaking ceremony for the first high-rise complex of phase 2 in the Starlake Hanoi urban area. The project, named K8HH1, marks an important step in this metropolitan area’s comprehensive development strategy.

K8HH1 includes two 26-story apartment towers with 284 apartments and one 20-story office building, all with two underground levels. The total construction area is 113,302 m². The project is expected to be completed within 32 months from the start date.

THT Development is an investor in the project, a 100% subsidiary of Daewoo E&C. Daewoo E&C Vina is handling the construction, and the relevant Hanoi authorities have already granted a building permit. Daewoo E&C emphasizes that K8HH1 is a key milestone project in phase 2 of the Starlake urban area.

Additionally, Daewoo E&C plans to build two more apartment and office complexes near K8HH1, adding 656 and 846 apartments to the area, respectively. Once the entire project is completed, the area will become the center of “K-Village Hanoi”, representing the high-end Korean-style living in Vietnam. A representative of Daewoo E&C said: “Just like the high-end ‘Prugio Summit’ apartments in Korea, we will bring to Vietnam a premium residential complex with Korean-style architecture.”

Starlake is a massive urban development project led by Daewoo E&C, covering an area of 186.6 hectares. With the ambition of creating a “Gangnam of Hanoi,” the project includes commercial service buildings, government office headquarters, and residential areas. Daewoo E&C is responsible for all stages of the project, from planning, land compensation, obtaining permits, raising capital, construction, and sales, to urban management.
